"Think it, feel it, do it” – Shirley Palmer
On Tuesday 21st May, The Golden Network hosted a talk in collaboration with famous mindset master and mentor Shirley Palmer. Shirley says she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and revealing her actionable secrets to success, and all guests could absolutely confirm that!
The event took place at The Golden Network’s partner 100 Wardour Street in Soho. A wonderful venue that offered us the use of their Playroom, a great space featuring a unique homely feel – that absolutely helped to create an intimate environment conductive of sharing and inspiring.
Shirley’s talk was uplifting, enlightening and entertaining: on top of sharing inspiring personal experiences, she also shared several tools and techniques.

Shirley started by sharing about her own story. Through her experiences, she helped us to understand that we must have tenacity and persevere if we want to change anything in our life and achieve goals that our heart really wants.
SO How can we turn negativity into positivity?
Shirley gave a few tools helping guests to understand how they can stay true to themselves and have the opportunity to feel happier every day.
We all have to deals with challenges; failure is a new way in our life. It is not bad, failure allows us to start something new: it is one level to success as each mistake teaches us something. One of the tools is to change our mindset and celebrate our successes no matter how small it is.
If you can’t change circumstances, change your perspective.
If you turn a negative into a positive, you gain twice. You therefore must turn every negative into a positive. You are no longer burdened with the negative situation, and in addition to that you are strengthened by a new positive force.

It is important to change our way of thinking: we have the choice to wake up every day and feel positive whatever our issues are. Starting your morning with negative thoughts will have an impact in your body, your mind and of course your professional goals and vison of life.
According to Shirley, you need to think about yourself.
Indeed, to find yourself you have to think for yourself.
What we feel is a decision we need to challenge everyday in our life. When you feel good, you have decided to feel good because x, y, or z happened.
But you don’t need a special reason to feel good! You can because you want to.
Your happiness will not come to you, it can only come from you.
Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy. Happiness is a choice not a result. So let’s make some changes today.
